The Department launched a new licensing system on November 3, 2025. If you have not already done so, you must Register a New Account and Find My License to link your account to your credential. You can do so at the following link: https://elicensing.ri.gov.

An Individual Architect Registration is not enough!
All Firms (Entities) are required to obtain a Certificate of Authorization (COA)
Important Reminder to Registered Architects — Each Firm (entity) that practices or offers to practice architecture in Rhode Island must hold a current COA. This required COA is in addition to the individual's registration. Check to make sure that your firm (whether sole proprietorship, corporation, partnership, LLP or LLC) has a current COA.
