Professional Engineer COA Amended Application Package PDF file, less than 1mbmegabytes Reinstatement of Expired PE Registration Please contact dbr.designprof@dbr.ri.gov for instructions on how to apply for reinstatement. Reinstatement of expired PE registrations require Board approval and are subject to fees and penalties (see § 1.10 of the PE Rules and Regulations). You will be required to pay $210 ($150 registration fee + a $60 late penalty) for each year that the registration has been expired. You may also be required to provide a brief explanation of any engineering activities conducted in Rhode Island during the lapsed period. Retirement Status To be eligible for retirement status you must: Have a current registration in good standing; Be at least sixty-five (65) years of age; and Attest that you are not actively engaged in the practice of engineering. If you meet the above three requirements, you may complete and submit the below application along with payment of a biennial fee in the amount of $20 to the Board. Retirement status must be renewed on the same schedule as an active PE registration, by completing the same Retirement Status application and paying the $20 fee.
